A capitals route across Serbia, Bulgaria and Romania, with two land border crossings handled by our own teams. Belgrade's Kalemegdan fortress and old quarter, Roman Niš, Sofia's cathedrals and Byzantine layers, medieval Veliko Tarnovo, then Bucharest. Three-star or four-star hotels, English-speaking guide, private airport transfers in Belgrade and out of Bucharest.
Three capitals and three countries in seven days, travelling overland from Belgrade to Bucharest. The route opens at Kalemegdan fortress where the Danube meets the Sava, crosses into Bulgaria via Roman Niš, and takes in Sofia's Orthodox cathedrals and Byzantine foundations before continuing through medieval Veliko Tarnovo to Bucharest's Belle Époque boulevards and the Palace of the Parliament. Two land borders, one coach, one operations team throughout.
